General Information

When we began boarding dogs and cats in 1998, our philosophy was to provide a safe, secure and loving environment for pets in our care. We provide special attention to the individual needs of each pet, and treat them as we would our own. You should feel comfortable with your pet's accomodations. We recommend that you visit and take a tour prior to your boarding. You may drop in at any time during our normal open hours and we'll be happy to show you around and answer all of your questions. Let us know what special needs your pet has. We will make sure that those needs are met during the stay. In 2004, we expanded by building the kenneling and training facility that we currently occupy. Southern Star Ranch's facility has been designed to provide safe, secure and comortable areas for your pets to reside, play and sleep while in our care. All features of the facility were chosen with your pet's security and saftey in mind including our security gate, 6' perimeter vinyl picket fencing and sedure runs (for dogs that like to climb, jump or dig). The owners live on the premises. Our location is on 100 acres which allows us to provide Pasture Walks with swimming in ponds, a large Dog Park, Tracking Classes, and spacious 38' indoor/outdoor runs. One on One play time.
