Dr. Brian Fabian Professional

General Information

Dr. Fabian is a board-certified Dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. He earned his medical degree in 1991 from Louisiana State University School of Medicine through a United States Air Force Scholarship. During this time, he was recognized for his scholastic achievements and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After completing his internship at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical center in San Antonio, Texas, he served as a flight surgeon with assignments to Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi and San Vito Air Station, Italy. While deployed in Italy during the Bosnian War, Dr. Fabian served with Special Operations Forces and was assigned to combat search and rescue. Following his military service, he completed a residency in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Fabian then earned a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at the University of Louisville while serving as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology. He has authored several publications on both dermatology and military medicine and has presented his work at national conferences. Prior to establishing his practice in Southwest Florida in 2003, he practiced in the Tampa Bay area and in Palm Beach County. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, and the Lee County Medical Society. Dr. Fabian is married and has two children and a dog. His daughter is currently in medical school, and his high school aged son is a highly ranked competitive swimmer. When he’s not taking his son to swimming competitions around the state and country he enjoys fishing, hiking, travel, and fitness.
